Rascarasca Health Notes
Privacy Promise
Our promise is short: this library is designed to learn almost nothing about the people who read it. The pages are prepared ahead of time and handed to your browser as finished files. There is no sign-in, no comment section, no mailing list, no advertising and no analytics or tracking code. What follows describes the little data that remains and the choices you have.
Last updated October 2026.
Who answers for your data
Rascarasca Health Notes is run by a small group of writers using pen names. Any question or request about personal data can be sent to contact@todoenrascarasca.com, and one of the four of us will deal with it.
Things this library does not do
- It does not measure visits, clicks, scrolling or time spent on a page.
- It does not load advertising networks, tracking pixels or affiliate scripts.
- It does not embed social media feeds or buttons that phone home while you read.
- It does not store anything you type into the contact form; that form only opens a draft email in your own mail program.
The cookie choice on your device
On your first visit, a notice in the middle of the screen asks whether you accept or decline. Your answer is written to your browser's local storage so that the question is not repeated on every page. That single note stays on your device, is never transmitted to us and cannot be used to identify you. Clearing this library's saved site data in your browser wipes that note whenever you like. The notice itself is explained on About the Cookie Notice.
Logs kept by our hosting service
Like every website, this one is delivered through a hosting service. When a page is requested, that service automatically records technical information such as the IP address, date and time, the address requested and the browser's user agent. These records exist to deliver pages, defend against attacks and diagnose errors. They are retained for a limited period under the host's own policies, are not merged with other data and are not used by us to study readers. We rely on legitimate interest here, because a library that cannot be delivered safely cannot be read at all.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever your message says. We use this only to reply and, where relevant, to fix or improve an entry. Messages are kept for as long as the conversation needs and then deleted, unless something in them must be retained for a legal reason. We never add correspondents to a list and never pass messages on to other organisations. Please leave out details about your health that we do not need, since we cannot give personal medical advice in any case.
Your rights under the GDPR
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how it is used, object to its use and request a copy in a portable format. You can also complain to a data protection authority in the country where you live or work. Send any request to the address above and we will respond within the period the law sets.
Links within the library
Some entries mention or link to other websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy practices apply, and we are not able to control them.
Changes to this promise
If the way the library works changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Related reading: Terms of Reading.
